A brief explanation of who we are and what we are doing.

Andress Silva

Andress Silva is a student at Moreno Valley College and is a Computer Information Systems major. He is set to transfer in June 2018.

He has taken courses in computer programming, web development and graphic design in order to build a strong base in Computer Science. He has also taken an interest in robotics, mobile app development, and cybersecurity.

He is a student tutor for Computer Information Systems at Moreno Valley College, as well as a writing consultant for the Writing and Reading Center.

He has interned for a start-up company by creating and managing their website and social media. He has also been a contributor to the school publication, Valley Vista News.

He has been a member of the Software Engineering Club since its founding in the Fall of 2014. He is currently the club's president and has helped in organizing events for students to learn more about technology and computer science.

He has worked with Moreno Valley College organizations such as the Associated Students of Moreno Valley College through events like Halloween Valley and the Spring Egg Hunt as well as STEM through events that promote Computer Science and Engineering to the community. He and other club members have volunteered for the past three years at the regional contest of a programming competition, called the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.

His plans for the future are to first obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with a focus in Cyber Security, then a Master's Degree in Computer Science, and to become an entrepreneur.
