With the acquistion of a Makerbot Replicator 2X and collaboration of design professors and students on campus, we hope to provide a method of obtaining a physical representation of the 3D models and designs for the game art program and students.
From game design to game development, we strive to apply the concepts and methods we have learned from our classes to create a game that we can feel proud of.
Through the use of simple Arduinos, we learn to run code for our robotic arms and wheels. Along with that, we use Raspberry Pi to continue the development and compound what we learned to create more complex programming.
After learning the logic and concepts, creating a mobile app was the next step to applying our knowledge and demonstrating it as software viable for real-world situations. During this development period, we also hope to learn to code efficiently and collaborate with our fellow students for a better understanding.
As we continue to grow and develop, we hope to initiate more projects for students to participate in. This gives them a chance to apply what they have learned in a formal setting.
We consider this an on-going project, to volunteer for the local community and events pertaining to the Computer Science and Information Systems majors.
Even though our members include graphic designers, game designers, and web developers; we began as programmers and continue to stay true to our roots by challenging ourselves in various programming languages.
We strive to encorporate as many disciplines as necessary to complete the projects we work on. From 3D and graphic designers to budding programmers and web developers, the Software Engineering Club continues to provide a place where fellow students within the Computer Science and Information Systems fields can further their knowledge, have the opportunity to teach others, and a means to collaborate with each other. Our time and efforts are always on-going and never stopping.
Founded in the Fall of 2014 by a group of Computer Science tutors, the goal of the Software Engineering Club is to expand knowledge in programming and showcase the college's computer science programs.

We are a group of dedicated and skillful computer science students with a passion for programming and enhancing our knowledge of software development. We meet twice a week to share our knowledge and work on real-world projects. We also volunteer at and participate in regional events, along with providing workshops for the local community.
